Favorite Iphone Apps | January 8th 2015

I have so many apps on my phone it's not even funny or battery friendly for that matter. I actually have quite a few I don't even use, but I like to keep things, it's a problem. Sorry about my background it's still Christmas themed because I just forgot to change it. If I don't talk about one it's mostly likely because I don't use it, but if your curious I would be delighted to give you some insight!

I really don't use any of these on a daily basis but it's nice to have when I ever need to go on them.
iHeartRadio app- is great because it acts like a portable radio and I LOVE Elvis Duran.

Wattpad- is great if you love reading and want to discover just regular people writing

Astrology Zone- is also nice if your into horoscopes

The gym I have is the Y and it's great for schedules and what not
MyFitnessPal- is useful for tracking what you eat, but be cautious it's addicting
MapMyFitness- I love to use this app when I workout to get a rough estimate of how many calories I burn
Argus- This is great for tracking how many steps you take a day, I love this app.

Timehop- love this it's so cool to see what you were capturing and thinking years ago
New Words/ Words with Friends- I used to play this all the time and just recently got back into it, it really sharpens your vocabulary
Play Books- this is just the Google play book app because I have a tablet and this allows me to read those books on my Iphone
Regal- this is just the movie theater app and sometimes they have good coupons
SheReadsTruth- this is a bible app I just recently downloaded because my favorite one is only for 2014

Sales Tax- This is great to figure out discounts and totals including tax
Retail Me Not and Shopular- these are both similar and they have a lot of discounts and coupons for shopping
Tip Calculator- I like tipping the correct amount when going out to eat so this is really handy

Those are my most used apps. I need to get rid of some but I might need them- one day. That might be boarder-line hoarder status and I might just be okay with that.

Gifts For Her Guide | December 11th 2014

Gifts For Her

When it comes to Christmas shopping there are those people that are super easy to shop for and then those who are such a mystery. These are all things I would love to get as well as give.
-----------------
1. A planner is a perfect gift to give for Christmas because the new year is right around the corner. To make it more personal you can add cute words and quotes on different pages.
-----------------------------
2. I am seriously in love with Taylor Swift's new cd. My favorite has to be Bad Blood. Music in general is great because if it's someone they like you know they will actually get good use of it.
----------------------
3. Candles are a great gift to buy especially if you know someones go to scent. You can also buy those stress reliving candles because we all have those days. This is one of my favorite scents from fall!
---------------------------------
4. Purses are my weakness and I feel you can never have to many. A satchel is versatile and this particular one is on sale at Target! #winnning
---------------------------------------------------------
5. I have wanted this necklace for a while because I could just picture it going with so many outfits. Most women like some type of jewelry whether it be earrings or a necklace.
------------------------------------------
6. This is a fashion sketchpad and is great for anyone interested in fashion or drawing. I got this last year and I am in love. It's also not a typical gift so you will definitely get #outoftheboxpoints!
------------------------------
7. Everyone can use slippers, nuff said.
--------------------------
8. How cute are these jammies?! These can also be paired with the slippers and that would be a great gift to give a group of friends.
--------------
9. I have just found out that I actually like coffee, although it makes me pee like a race horse. This is great for anyone who loves tea, coffee, or hot chocolate. You can also add a hot chocolate mix in it or some candy, anything!

Photos of the week and other lost photographs | August 10th 2014

This wasn't this week but I seriously love these pancakes! They are whole wheat blueberry pancakes and they are heaven in your mouth. Here I had 2 pancakes, sugar free syrup, and a banana! The recipe is from Garnish & Glaze!

Also not from this week but it looked and tasted to good to pass up! These are chicken fajitas with lots of lettuce, tomatoes, some cheese, and a side of Spanish rice, my favorite!

For one of my lunches last week I had a crabcake (I have a new obsession with these), potatoes (the Alexia ones in my What I Ate video here), some spinach, and half of an apple pie quest bar. I didn't like the quest bar at all, so I ate some date crackers instead!

This dinner was scrumptious! This was a pork chop, some veggies, pasta salad, and mango salsa.

Finally on to some meals this week! I had some delicious marinated salmon, I think in soy sauce and other goodness. Also some grilled asparagus topped with Parmesan, and some veggies to round it out. This was amazing seriously.

My grandma came to visit  which was so fun and I am so sad she is leaving today! We wanted to do some fun things while she was here so we made a trip back in time and you will see what I am talking about later. This was a delicious peanut butter and jelly sandwhich on potato bread that we had there. This was seriously THE BEST Pb&j I ever had. On the side was some pesto pasta which was also good.

Dinner the other night was Salisbury steak topped with some gravy, a side of fresh hand mashed potatoes, and creamy spinach. I might have ate the reminents of the spinach that was in the pan. Oops!

After dinner we made a trip to Sweet Frog! I had 1/2 cup of graham cracker froyo, pineapple, cookie dough, strawberries, blueberries, and one brownie bite! Wish I had gotten 2 bites. I didn't even eat hardly any before it started melting! It was still good!

So we were playing on traveling to an old part of town where they have enactments and such, but got lost and ended up at the ferry. It was a good mistake though because it was my first time and so fun and cool.

The waters!

Here is an outfit of the day!
+pants-Urban Outfitters
+Sandals- Payless ?
+Cropped Tee- Forever 21

How cool does this look?! It's like going back in time! You had to pay to go into a lot of reenactments and  buildings and nobody got time for that, so we just looked at the free stuff and in the shops! Honestly in was just as fun, maybe even more!

Here is a look into one of the shops!

This was an old timely game called Bilbo Catcher that I was really bad at.

After we left we made our way to the outlet mall. This one had the more expensive stores like Ralph Lauren, Michael Kors, and Kate Spade (pictures above). I had never been into Kate Spade and was so excited to go in. I really do love everything in there but Whooo, I didn't know it was that pricey. I will own one of her bags one day, just not today, or tomorrow, or next year probably.

Now that I have taken about 15 minutes of your precious time, I hope you enjoy the rest of your weekend!

Who doesn't love Bath & Body Works. I know I do although their prices are way better at the outlets, which is where I love to stock up whenever I can make it there. I have also never ordered online from here, but there are many stores that one can visit if they don't want to order online.

| Ikea and Decorating on A Budget | May 1st 2014

I recently went to Ikea and let me tell you, I could stay in there all day! We were in there for 2 hours and we decided that we had to get out while we could. That was my first time in the store and I loved it because it's like a life-size doll house. It even has a restaurant, so I think they definitely intend for people to be there ALL day! Anyways, it got me thinking some cool ways to decorate on a budget, so I complied some ideas together and BAM brought them to ya!

But First some Ikea Goodness I captured:

I also bought my first piece of furniture! It's just a side night table (actually it's a kids frame for a play room, but this goes along with one of my tips) and it actually wasn't that hard to put together with some help. The frame was $30 dollars and the two wire baskets were $5 dollars each! Pretty good deal!

Now on to the intended program!

How to Decorate on a Budget! Tips and tricks for thrifting your way to a beautiful home! at LoveGrowsWild.com
1. Use unintended objects for other things. I love to use objects that are meant for one thing and use them for something else. For example, these plates are being used for wall art. You can find plates like these at the Dollar Tree and paint is very inexpensive at craft stores. Also you can buy chalk board paint at Lowe's or a home improvement store and voila you have got an accent wall.

2. This wouldn't necessarily be under decorating but if your short on space use one room for more than one purpose. This room is being used as an office and a nursery, but you can combine a number of rooms to be multipurpose. This works well so you don't have to eliminate a room altogether like an office.

3. If you have been on Simply Worn for a while they you know I love me a good gallery wall. If your'e short on cash to actually buy a lot of decorations or paint create a gallery wall filled with your favorite things. If you have Photoshop you can edit your own images or you can just print ones that you like, or they can be actual objects. This eliminates actually having to buy art. Furthermore, frames can be found at the Dollar Tree, Walmart, etc.

4. If you have an old piece of furniture that you have considered taking to the Goodwill, try up-cycling it first; it usually cost less than buying a whole new piece. For example, this piece above looks like it was bought at Crate and Barrel but it was actually up-cycled! This can save money and lets you practice your diy skills.

Hopefully some of these helped and if you have a chance visit Ikea it's like the heaven of home goods!
