Passion For Pastels

I know it's not spring yet but I really wish it would hurry up. I am starting to really have an infatuation with pastel colors from my tops to my bottoms and even my nails. Also pastels goes with many things, especially black which I have a lot of. So today I am giving you my pastel inspiration board so WE can be ready when the warm weather arrives.

Passion For Pastels

Topshop shirt sweater / Pull Bear pink jacket, $50 / Ted Baker skirt, $215 / Acne Studios strappy sandals / Oasis satchel style purse, $42 / Witchery chunky jewelry, $63 / Spring Inspirations Geranium Bush Light Pink / Spring Inspirations Peony Bush Light Pink / Paris Sketches / http://artandfashionillustrations.tumblr.com / Fashion Sketches / Fashion sketches / Arrow / Arrow / Sketches Illustration

1. I really love blazers in spring because they not only dress looks up, but also are light enough to wear and not sweat to death. This blush pink one is to live for!

2. Sweaters can be worn in spring just choose ones that are little bit more breezy and light weight. It also doesn't hurt that it's in a delightful baby blue.

3. I don't have the wallet to purchase this skirt but I added it for inspiration to look for something similar. I love the girly-elegant feel of the skirts shape and the flowers don't hurt either.

4. I love me a good satchel/cross-body!  This one is great because it's a nice periwinkle and it's big enough to carry your must have essentials.

5. I have really been into strap sandals since the end of the warm weather last year. These may not be everyone's cup of tea, but I like them because they are more secure and add a little height at the same time.

6. I love flowers. Enough Said.

Now is the time to think about what you want in your spring wardrobe, hope I gave you a little passion for pastels, and as always hope your enjoying your Friday!

Room-spiration: 50 Shades of Gray in the Living Room?

When you don't want to go as dark as black, or as neutral as white gray is the way to go. If black is said to go with anything in the wardrobe, gray can go with almost anything in the home. The couch pillows aren't the limit when deciding to decorate with gray, go bold or leave home (haha get it? no...okay). Couches can be any color or style you want to so try putting it on key pieces like in a couch or even on a wall!

Flower color giving guide - Henry Happened
Even though Valentin'es day is over that doesn't mean you can't stop giving or getting flowers! I love this little guide from Henry Happened because personally I never knew what flower colors meant, except roses of course. Make sure to keep this handy when flower shopping, and also go visit the post along with this to see how to take care of your flowers.

When it gets closer to spring I always feel the urge to wear pastel colors. My colors this coming spring are definitely a Tiffany blue and pale pink. This color is definitely one of the colors I love to have on my nails, anytime really. Visit Le Zoey Musings to learn how to make this pretty color on your own!

Hope your enjoying the beginning of your week! Just remember each day is a day closer to Friday!

The White Boot | February 20th| #OOTD

So it all started when I took a trip to Pacsun for the buy 1 get 2 free sale. I figured it would be good to get three pair of jeans, since I wear them a lot. I ended up getting three pair for $57 dollars, which I was told was a steal! Any who one pair didn't fit so I took it another Pacsun, where I found a pair to replace them, and when I was leaving I saw these white boots. I was beside myself because they were so not my normal buy, but were so fierce! I ended up leaving them because I wasn't sure and had been there far to long.

Cutting this far to long story short I found the white boots at a third Pacsun for $20 dollars, where at the other one they were $50! I have been looking for a pair of cutout boots, that weren't pointed toe because it makes my feet look bigger, and that's why I love these. These boots are surprisingly comfortable and round-toed!
If your looking for a great boot make sure to hit up your local Pacsun because they had a collection of boots for $20.00 (not sure if it is still on). Also these are no longer on the website only in store.

Vest- Cotton On | $10.00
Sweater- Forever 21| $24.00
Leggings- Target| $8.00
Shoes- Pacsun| $20.00
Bracelet-Cotton On| $2.00
Ring-Macy's| $2-3

Street Style: NY Fashion Week 2014

Fashion week street style this year was less about baring it all, and more about keeping warm. Even bundled up the fashionistas still dressed to impress. It's as if they rolled out of bed looking fabulous, didn't even notice the snow storm, and rocked it like nobodies business. Personally I don't think I could have looked that good, I hate being cold, but for fashion I may be able to sacrifice.

Weekend Favorites...

Before I decided I wanted to do fashion, which was when I was way younger and looked like I got dressed in the dark, I really loved interior design. I still love it and that's one of the reasons you will see it on the blog tons. Also, Valentine's is over but there are such good Valentine's diys that I had to add one or two in here because, why not, so with that said, my weekend favorites!

I am such a sucker for a good house, and this is a good house. I can't exactly pin point my decor style, I just either like something or I don't, which kind of goes with my fashion style sometimes as well. Visit Tech Ne (it's in a different language but your browser should ask you to translate) and definitely go check out the rest of the pictures it's super pretty and so well decorated.

Breakfast I think has to be my favorite meal of the day, very close to lunch I might add. I love waffles, pancakes, and french toast the list goes on! I also love flowers because they are pretty and smell good, need I say more? Just go check out this cute brunch photo shoot on Lauren Kelp, right now!

DIY Patterned Cloth Napkins

I love diys so easy that you wish you would have thought of it yourself. The chic looking napkin is made with cloth napkins and fabric markers, how easy and fun does that sound?! Lots to me, if you want to make your own flip on over to The Sweetest Occasion!

I have been looking for inexpensive jars like this obviously to put all my junk in. These are super cut and she has used them so wisely. What I love even more? She got them for a $1.70. Also head on over to Quite Quaint to see her closet makeover!

Reading textbooks can get boring and it honestly makes me super fatigued. I have been getting back into reading and picked up some books from the library. Before I go to the library I go to Good Reads and look up books that I think would interest me and check them out. This book is a good case of don't judge a book by it's cover or title. In short it's about a woman who's ex writes about dating a "large woman" in a magazine, her of course, but it goes way deeper.  It was a great read for me ( I finished it in 5 days) and hopefully for you too!

Hope you enjoyed your weekend and are having a great evening!
